Customer Level User Access

A customer account has one primary user (its first e-mail address) and any number of secondary users (further addresses added by the primary user). Both log in on the same Sign in page and see the same devices and data. The primary user changes the device settings and the account; secondary users monitor.

Devices are added to and removed from an account by Halveon only — neither the primary nor a secondary user can add or delete devices.

Primary User Access​

  1. Home and Device List:
    • Charts, statistics and the device table; device page with gauges, alarms, charts and historical data.
    • Download data (PDF, CSV, e-mail).
  2. Devices:
    • Start and Stop devices.
    • Device Configuration: intervals, modes and alarm limits.
    • Flight Mode Configuration: up to 5 flights per device.
  3. Alarms: acknowledge alarms with a comment.
  4. Trips: create, edit and delete trips.
  5. Account Management:
    • Change Password, Select Timezone,
    • Profile: address and secondary e-mail addresses (add / remove),
    • Notification Settings: who receives alarm, alarm-cleared and battery e-mails.
  6. Former Devices: read-only data of devices that moved to another customer.

Secondary User Access​

  1. Home and Device List: the same charts, tables and device pages as the primary user; Download Data.
  2. Device Configuration and Flight Mode Configuration: the settings are shown, but cannot be changed ("Modification feature is only accessible to primary email ID.").
  3. Start / Stop: the buttons are greyed out ("This feature is accessible only to the primary email ID").
  4. Alarms: can acknowledge alarms with a comment (the acknowledgement records who made it).
  5. Trips: can create, edit and delete trips.
  6. Account Management: Change Password only — no profile, time zone or notification settings.
  7. Former Devices: the same read-only view as the primary user.
  8. E-mails: a new secondary address receives the e-mail Your Account has been Updated with its password; alarm and battery e-mails as set in Notification Settings.

Workflow for Adding Secondary Users​

  1. Adding a Secondary User (primary user):
    • Account Management → Profile → Edit Profile.
    • Add New Email, enter the address, Save Profile.
    • The address receives the e-mail Your Account has been Updated with its password.
  2. Secondary User Login:
    • Log in on the Sign in page with that address and password, then change the password under Account Management → Change Password.
  3. Removing a Secondary User (primary user):
    • Account Management → Profile → Edit Profile, click the bin icon next to the address, Save Profile.
    • The address can no longer log in.

Best Practices for User Management​

  • Use the primary user for configuration: device settings, alarm limits and flights.
  • Use secondary users for monitoring: data, alarms and reports.
  • Choose the e-mail recipients: in Notification Settings, decide which addresses receive alarm, alarm-cleared and battery e-mails.
